Based on the taste test method, this Qualitative test method ensures the effectiveness of the seal between the wearer and the respiratory protective equipment (RPE). As per current regulations, RPE face fit tests are a statutory requirement for persons who wear RPE to protect themselves from airborne hazards.

This type of Face Fit Testing is suitable for persons wearing a half face "Dust Mask" offering particulate protection, for example P3 / FFP3.

The test is typically undertaken using the Bitrex solution however the Saccharin method can be adopted for those who cannot taste the bitter solution.

Our experienced Face Fit testers are approved by the BSIF "Fit2Fit" scheme, all follow guidance laid down in HSE OC282/28.
